Stores ref. 22c/447. Size Medium. The cloth is generally in excellent condition and retains good even colour and only relatively light soiling. The Mae West retains all the leg straps, grab handles, tying tapes, buttons, inflation lever flap, skull cap/heliograph pocket, flotation lamp pocket and fluorescene flap and strap. Good original brass Air Ministry marked zip. Fully labelled/stamped with War Department broad arrow markings. In addition there is an incorrect/fake added stamp with the reference for a pair of MK.VII goggles (22c/826) and 1940 date. This particular stamp was commonly seen 15 years or so ago on paper labels accompanying MT drivers goggles that were being passed off as MK.II flying goggles! I should stress that the Mae West is 100% genuine but someone has decided to try and make it more appealing by adding the extra stamp and in this case, impossible date.
