Webbing harness that was used to secure the pilot into the seat of his fighter aircraft. Sutton Harnesses were used in many wartime and pre-war aircraft including the Spitfire & Hurricane (see photo 10). Complete with adjuster straps and classic triangular 'pin-release' buckle. Various markings and inspection stamps. Very good used condition bar one small fray hole. I believe there would have been some 'tail' straps from the metal end brackets on this harness that actually fastened the airframe/seat. Stock code M17066.
