Beautiful padded pilot wing in oatmeal coloured silk thread on black felt with a black cloth backing. Probably a 'theatre made' example. Has had 3 small poppers sewn into place for use on a tropical tunic. This was common practice as tropical uniforms required regular laundering and badges could easily be removed to avoid damage.
