Bakelite multi-button/line telephone as used in wartime Operations Rooms. Rectangular base with 10 push buttons and chromed metal holder for 10 related numbers. Original cotton braided cord to the handset but interior wiring appears to have been 'upgraded'. Alledged to have come from Debden (as with the other few I have come across over the years) but no proof or provenance for this. Looks great in a period office display. Does have some cracks in places but no loss of bakelite. Stock code M16317.
