RAF Type H Oxygen Mask - WW2 Dated

RAF Type H Oxygen Mask - WW2 Dated

Code: SOLD-1199

SOLD
Size Medium. Dated 3-45. (March 1945). Rare wartime dated example of this mask. The rubber facepiece is in fair to reasonable condition only. Most of the rubber remains flexible and the overal shape isn't bad. Unfortunately the sides and lower edges are curling inwards and have some associated cracking issues. There is no significant cracking on the harness retaining lugs. The pearl grey suede lining has become unglued slightly and is quite grubby. Fitted with a type 57 microphone assembly and a flecked light tan coloured loom. The harness is complete but faded and with loss of elasticity. These late war H-masks are very difficult to obtain now in any condition and are considerably rarer than a G-type mask. Although this is only in fair condition due to poor storage it can be packed to improve the shape and cleaned up. It displays reasonably well. A bargain price for a wartime example! Stock code O18737.
