No. 01-40NC-1 / A.P.2445A,C.  Looseleaf, 22 x 28cm.  Dated 10th March 1943 with revisions through 1944.  84pp.  'Restricted' instructions for US Army models C-47, C-47A, USN models R4D-1, R4D-5 and British models Dakota I and Dakota III airplanes.  Published by authority of the Commanding General, AAF, and accepted by the Chief of the Bureau of Aeronautics and the Air Council of the United Kingdom.  Includes a general description of the aircraft and its controls; operating instructions; flight operating data; remote operating compartments; oxygen equipment and communications equipment etc.
Also included at the back is another manual, T.O. No. 08-65-1 'Handbook of General Information - The Instrument Approach System'.  18pp, 30 August 1944.  A reference regarding the various instrument approach and landing sytems (AAF & RAF).  Illustrated with photos / diagrams.
