By The Werber Sportswear Co. Size 7. Constructed from 1/4" sheep shearling with a seal brown poly-acrylate finish. The cap featured a large stiff peak and folding 'ear' flap. Although introduced for aircrews in 1939 it remained popular with aircrew and groundcrews throughout the war - particulalry bomber crews with the 8th AAF when worn with a headset and mask. Overall condition is very good. There is surface cracking and wear to one of the crown panels otherwise showing only light wear and use. Fully labelled with 1942 contract date. Stock code H17410.
