RAF type H oxygen mask, 1946 dated

RAF type H oxygen mask, 1946 dated

Code: O18747

SOLD

Size medium.  Dated 1-46 (January 1946).  A rare early post WW2 dated example of this otherwise relatively common mask.  The facepiece retains reasonable overall shape although the lower edge, in particular, is curling inwards.  The rubber is grubby but remains very pliable and appears to be crack-free (other than the microphone loom sheathing).  The pearl grey suede lining is complete but dirty.  Fitted with a type 57 microphone assembly and a mid tan coloured loom with the correct large 2-pin socket, type 614, 10H/18196.  The webbing harness is grubby and lacks elasticity.  Identical to a wartime example but significantly cheaper.  A reasonably good used example that could be improved significantly with some careful cleaning.  Stock code O18747.
