Type T1 pressure demand mask with a green rubber facemask and fibreglass 'exo-skeleton'. The horse-shoe chain toggle harness incorporating adjustable nuts (turnbuckle) that adjust the length and tension of the harness. The chains themselves are prevented from twisting whilst being tensioned by swivel links. The facepiece is in excellent flexible condition and the exo-skeleton and harness are both good. Fitted with a plastic Amplivox 13100 microphone/loom (Cord Elect Assy Cat No. 5965/99/932/4158) and two-pin socket. No oxygen hose fitted. We've been reliably informed by an experienced aerospace engineer and long-term customer/collector that this type of mask was used on Jaguars, Harriers and Phantoms in conjunction with a high pressure oxygen tube and 'man mounted' oxygen regulator fitted to the front of the pilot's lifejacket rather than the ejection seat.
