RAF Flying Helmet, Inner, Type F

Code: H20455

Sold

Stores ref. 22c/1390. Size 2. 1955 date code. An extremely rare early blue cloth inner flying helmet.  The Type 'F' was the first helmet designed for use with the MK.1 Bonedome and predates the later and far more common Type 'G'.  The blue cloth helmet shell is in very good condition with only light soiling and verdigris on the press studs.  Fully wired with flexible loom, receivers and NATO plug. Good/quite clean soft leather earpads.   Note the single row of oxygen mask press studs and early elasticated neck strap.  A good '+' used example of this rare early variant. Stock code H20955.
