Operators' Handbook for the AVRO 'YORK' Aircraft, AVRO Type '685'. Published by A.V.Roe & Co. Ltd., Manchester, July 1946. Card covers, 15 x 23cm. Approximately 133 pages plus 33 pullout diagrams/charts at the back. Subjects covered include the fuselage, flying controls, hydraulic system, fuel system, undercarriage, pneumatic system, electrical & radio installations etc. Each copy had an individual serial number, 3000 in this case. The cover is a bit grubby, creased and dog-eared at the edges. The pages are good whilst the diagrams have some folded/creased edges and minor tears. The 'York' was conceived as a military transport aircraft during WW2 and was introduced in 1943. An excellent early postwar reference publication. Good used condition overall. Stock code P20567.
