Gloves, Flying, Leather, Summer Type B-3A. By Steinberg Brothers, Inc. Size 8. Standardized in July 1943. Unlined light tan (actually quite yellow) capeskin leather gloves that cover the wrists and lower forearms for greater protection from flash burns. Soft leather enabled greater manual dexterity making it an excellent flying glove. Aside from some light soiling these are in super, probably unissued condition. Clear maker's marks, reference numbers etc. Part of the cotton used to join the gloves when issued remains - see photo 7. These are the same as those issued during WW2 but are later USAF issue. Stock code GA21406.
