Lifemaster Type 3 by Vacuum Reflex Ltd. London.  Stores reference A5/4220/99/120/7270.  This simple lifejacket was utilized by the British armed forces in the early 1960s and was probably issued to aircraft passengers and those undertaking training on water.  Manufactured in an orange rubberised fabric it has some form of internal padding that would provide the user with some immediate protection and has an oral inflation tube to inflate further and give extra buoyancy.  A whistle with lanyard and webbing 'grab' handle is provided at the front with further webbing/waist-strap, life-line and toggle at the back.  Superb unissued condition with original 1966 dated War Department broad arrow label on the back, original stores label attached and labelled box of issue (some damage to the box).  Vacuum Reflex Ltd. continued to produce lifejackets for the MoD with some being used during the Falklands war.  They also provided civilian versions to the RNLI but appear to have gone out of business in 2020.  Stock code MW27448.
