RAF water activated lifejacket light, 1950s

Stores reference ST.25/20/063.  Lights, Lifejacket Type B12/SC1, Water Activated.  Manufactured by EASCO Electrical (Holdings) Ltd., 1956.  This is virtually identical to the wartime Easco lamp used by the Fleet Air Arm.  It has a black-painted battery container with an integral crocodile clip to secure the light to clothing/Mae West.  Linked to this via a plastic-covered cable is a small lamp with a red lens.  This also has a small crocodile securing clip.  To operate, the user simply had to press a button on the battery container.  This example is unissued and comes with the original plastic bag and stores label but does have some corrosion and storage wear.  Stock code MW26477.
