Letter opener in the form of a sword with a King's crown RAF pilot wing as the guard. Approximately 22.5cm in length and 8cm span. The handle and 'blade' appear to be steel, the former with a brass insert. The guard is probably aircraft alloy. This item was almost certainly made by an aircraft rigger using offcuts in the RAF station workshop. A well made and useful item. Stock code M23274.
