By Gieves, London. Medium size - approximately 67/8 (physically measures 56.5cm). An 'Air Rank' service dress peaked cap probably dating from the 1970s. This is in excellent clean and moth free condition with a very nice Queen's crown bullion badge and peak with distinctive double row of heavy bullion leaves. Lined in blue-grey satin with a greasepaper protection sheet. This is somewhat discoloured but the maker's crest/details are visible beneath. The inner leather band is excellent and marked as "Gieves 'Parade' Cushion Fitting, Lightweight." A really good example. Stock code U28393.
