RAF Service Dress Cap
By Bates Hatters of Jermyn Street, London. Standard peaked cap in barathea cloth. Unsized but appears small - perhaps 63/4 or so. Fitted with Queen's crown bullion badge on a black mohair band. The cap has light even soiling and moth trailing to the pile on the crown. A few small moth holes elsewhere but none are serious or particularly obvious. The inner leather band remains good as does the green felt lining. Clear plastic crown liner fitted. The peak is slightly distorted on the right side (as viewed), seemingly as a result of the wooden stiffener being bent - (see photos), but the cap is in reasonably good overall condition nonetheless. Named to owner. Stock code U20035.
