Type 93 Aerial, Aircraft. Stores reference 10BB/875. Suitable for 450 M.P.H or 550 M.P.H Dive. Manufactured in alloy, approximately 41cm/16" in length, tapering from 3cm/1.25" wide at the base to 12mm/0.5" at the tip. Mounted on a 'stepped' bakelite connector section, approximately 7.5cm/3" diameter. It retains most of the original grey paint. Marked/soiled but in good overall condition. Although these are often attributed to the Spitfire, they were for RADAR/GEE rather than radio. We have been unable to positively identify the aircraft these were used on but clearly a relatively early piston engined one due to the noted dive speeds. Stock code M24229.
