Code: UDFGFSD
Rare cap as worn by Polish officers serving with the RAF during WW2. Manufactured by Rowans of Glasgow and Birmingham. It is marked in pencil as size 67/8 and measures approximately 55cm (high end of small). The barathea cloth is generally clean and retains good colour but the peak is lightly soiled/faded and has some wrinkling/bubbling to the leather underside. There is one tiny moth hole at the rear of the peak and very minor moth trailing but nothing of concern. It is fitted with a narrow leather chinstrap (surface cracking), cloth covered buttons, mohair band and a fabulous bullion wire Polish badge. The inner leather band is a little dry and soiled, the light tan coloured satin crown is excellent. A very good cap. Stock code UDFGFSD.
NB. There are some circular light aberrations on some of the images that are not on the actual cap.
