Size 67/8. 1943 dated. R.A.A.F. khaki fur felt slouch hat as issued to personnel in the Far East and Western Desert etc. Has the original pugaree band in place with sewn RAF 'flash'. The inner leather lining band is in good condition and has 'V553', size, 1943 date markings and the owner's name. Also retains the original leather chinstrap and buckle in good order. This example is fitted with the press studs often used to hold one side of the brim up against the crown. It is quite clean with no obvious moth damage. A very good used example. Stock code U22229.
