Stores Ref. 22/69. One of the classic 'Battle of Britain' pattern goggles. The frame is in very good condition but has lost the original finish on exposed points leaving the brass beneath visible. All of the frame screws are original and both frame 'stops' remain in place. The leather surrounds are generally quite good but have hardened a bit as has the internal padding. The lenses remain remarkably clear but have have light marking and scratching. The strap springs are all complete, undamaged and in excellent condition. The leather strap section is also very good with Air Ministry marks and 1937 date code. These are true Air Ministry issue rather than the more commonly found Canadian version.
