Code: G23799

SOLD

By Clement Clarke, London.  Stores Reference 22c/167.  The frame is finished in the less common satin brown paint and is in excellent original condition.  The nosepiece leather is equally good and the chamois backing has light soiling and wear.  Although the original rubber face pads have deteriorated and hardened they retain reasonable shape and are much better than many pairs.  Fitted with excellent original clear glass lenses.  The strap components are excellent - the spring sections complete and undamaged,  both 'loops' equally good and the leather section is clearly marked with crisp Air Ministry Crown and reference numbers.  Fitted with the original anti-glare shield which has the large exposed spring type mechanism, again in excellent condition. Complete with the original box of issue which contains a smaller spares box containing a set of lightly tinted spare lenses that have delamination marks but display well, an unused leather/chamois forehead protection strip, spanner, bakelite antidim compound tube and a full set of helmet guide plates and guide plate 'poppers'.  These plates could be attached to B or C-type helmets using copper rivets, of which 11 of the 12 are included.  An excellent complete set of goggles and accessories.  Stock code G23799.
