Stores Ref. 22c/167. By J & R Fleming Ltd. The frame is in excellent condition with virtually no paint loss and only minor marking. It is finished in the less common satin brown rather than black. The nosepiece leather and backing chamois are both good '+'. The original rubber facepads are in excellent shape and remain pliable which is almost unheard of. The clear lenses do have delamination marks but give a reasonable overall appearance. The strap components are excellent throughout with clear Air Ministry markings. The flipshield, or more correctly 'Screen, Anti-Glare' (22c/113) is fitted with the more unusual large exposed friction type spring mechanism - all in very good condition.
