Stores reference 22c/930. The frames are in very good condition with only a little verdigris deposit and very minor rubbing/paint loss on exposed edges as shown. Note that this pair have 'rolled edge' frames. The leather surround is equally good with embossed A.M Crown marks, the suede backing is soft and undamaged with average soiling and there is an A.I.D. stamp. The strap retains quite strong colour and some elasticity but the metal components have surface corrosion. Fitted with an excellent pair of clear lenses but they appear to be perspex - possibly changed by a postwar aviator for safety purposes, it would be simple to swap them for original glass ones. Complete with the box of issue. This is in very good condition and contains a reasonable pair of tinted lenses (minor delamination/chips) and a 1942 dated antidim container with a 12/41 dated cloth. A very good used pair of goggles. Stock code G27532.
