Stores Ref. 22c/930. Early and rarer frame pattern with a metal wire 'open' rectangular centre adjuster. The frames have paint loss on exposed edges and quite a bit of soft verdigris deposits but are in good overall condition. The leather surround also has some verdigris where the frames attach but this can usually be removed by careful use of meths and/or a cocktail stick. The suede backing has moderate to heavy soiling and rubbing but remains damage free. Both clear lenses are good, free from cracks, have only fairly light scratches and minor delamination. The strap elastic is a bit grubby/stained and faded retaining only a little elasticity. Metal parts have very minor surface corrosion. Faint markings and reference numbers to the central leather pad. A fair '+' to reasonably good pair of this scarcer pattern of the Mk.VIII. goggles. Stock code G21758.
