By British American Optical. Stores Ref. 22c/961. Size medium. Standard WW2 issue MK.VIII anti-glare spectacles/sunglasses with grey/green tinted lenses in steel wire frames with side-arms having 'wrap-around' ear pieces. The frames are in very good condition apart from fairly minor play in hinges (vertical and lateral). The lenses have very light scratches and the right has small chips on the inner edge (see photo). Air Ministry and ref. numbers stamped into arms. The original hard case is in excellent condition but marked for the slightly later issue MK.VIII (22c/1072) which was identical. Stores ref. G17788.
