RAF service dress tunic. The barathea is generally quite good but has some fading and light soiling. There is a little moth damage with a small hole on the left lapel (as worn) and one very small hole at the back of each arm. In addition there are tiny holes on the lapels where VR insignia would have been fitted. The lining is coming adrift at the right armpit but it is all there and could be tacked back in place quite easily. No tailor’s label or evidence of one ever being there. It has a very good silk pilot wing, flight lieutenant rank lace and Air Force Cross ribbon. Purchased directly from the owner's son with other flying kit. A good original unmolested tunic.
