SOLD

'Suits, Aircrew, Blouse'.  Stores reference 22c/402.  Size 13 (Ht. 5'11" - 6'0", Ch. 37 - 38", Wt. 34").  By Sindall Bros. & Co. Ltd., 1943 dated.  Standard early aircrew battledress blouse with Group Captain rank lace and a nice flat pilot wing manufactured with silky oatmeal coloured thread.  The blouse is unusual in having a serge faced collar in place of the usual blue-grey cotton.  The serge extends down both inner sides of the opening behind the buttons and button-holes.  My immediate reaction was to assume this had been added but it's difficult to see why and if so, has been done extremely well.  The stitching passed black (UV) lamp tests.  Other unusual features are the lack of any collar 'hook/eye' fixings and the belt 'hook' fittings are American made.  The jacket has some moth trailing/loss of pile, a few small moth holes, most obviously under the right armpit, but is generally good '+' and displays well.  Stock code U27421.
