'Suits, Blue Grey, Aircrew, Blouse'. Stores ref. 22c/402. Size 16 (Ht. 6'1" - 6'2", Ch. 37 - 38", Wt. 34"). By Sindall Bros. & Co. Ltd. 1943 dated. Standard early aircrew battledress blouse with Flying Officer rank insignia and a particularly fine padded pilot wing. There is also a medal ribbon for the Distinguished Flying Cross. The blouse is a little soiled and faded. The front is peppered with moth damage - this is most notable/visible at the lower corner of the right pocket, left pocket corner and flap. There is further moth damage adjacent to the buttons but these are hidden when the blouse is buttoned-up. There are a couple of small holes in the section below the left pocket. Finally there is minor moth damage to the sleeves and rear of the blouse. Surface corrosion of the belt buckle and some of the metal buttons. War Department marked/dated label. Because the worst of the moth damage is 'hidden' behind the button flap this displays quite well. Stock code U19733.
