RAF Irvin flying jacket
Physically measures approximately 44” so should be OK for around a 40” chest. A typical late war multiple panelled jacket. The leather is in good overall condition retaining much of the original chromed finish and good flexibility. There is some wear to the finish, notably the middle front, left shoulder and right upper rear panels (see photos). There are also a few small stitched repairs. All are photographed and could probably be improved/made neater. All zips are original, Air Ministry marked and retain their leather puller tags. Very good short dense brown fur lining. The waist fur remains good and the cuffs have been carefully retrimmed. The jacket has the original belt and somewhat worn collar strap/rings. A good later war example.
