SOLD

Overalls, Flying, Cold Weather, Jacket, Mk.1.  Stores reference 22c/1153 - 1160.  Size unknown but physically measures approximately 24" pit to pit, 26" side to side at the waist and 30" from the neck seam to the hem.  Dating from the early/mid 1950s.  Blue grey 'ventile' cotton hooded aircrew 'parka' style jacket with a wool blanket lining.  It has a full length front zip with a buttoned storm flap, integral belt with alloy buckle and a typical parka 'fishtail' to button through the legs.  There is a large flapped map pocket on the left chest (button absent) and buttoned pockets in the lower skirt area.  The generous hood is adjustable via wooden toggles.  The jacket was issued with matching blue grey trousers (hence the term 'overalls').  The cotton is in very good overall condition with only a couple of very small nicks and light soiling/fading.  A careful wash might improve the appearance further.  Good lining but the label is absent.  These early 'suits' are now very rare and desirable.  If it is lacking from your collection don't delay!  Stock code S24594.
