RAF coverall, aircrew, MK.11. Stores ref. 22c/1300198. Dated 1977. Size 5 (height 173 - 180cm, chest 91 - 99cm). Olive green flying suit with full front zip, zipped chest pockets, knee pockets/knee board provision, lower leg pockets, waist side-seam entry pockets, zipped lower legs, pen pockets, velcro adjustable waist and wrist tabs etc. Also fitted with survival knife patch (knife absent). The suit is clean and generally very good. Has a few minor holes and a patched repair to the back (see photos). All zips are original and in good useable condition. Various original RAF and USAF patches are sewn to the suit including 'Strike Command Tactical Bombing Competition, RAF Lossiemouth', 'Tactical Air Command', '23rd Tactical Fighter Wing' & 'RAF Tactical Fighter Wing Tactical Air Command Competition 1978. The patches would suggest that the suit was worn by an airman with the USAF flying F111Es from Upper Heyford or Corsair IIs flown from Louisiana for the bombing competition. Stock code S21760.
