RAF 1930 pattern Sidcot flying suit / collar

Code: SDFGF30

SOLD

Stores reference 22c/313. Size 4 (Ht. 5'8 - 5'9", Br. 36 - 38", Wt. 32 - 34", St. 37 - 38". Leg. 29.5"). Early wartime version of the Sidcot produced in grey green rubberised cotton as used for the 1932 pattern Mae West. The material is in very good '+' overall condition - it retains good colour, is undamaged and quite clean bar some staining.  This is common on these suits and appears to be a reaction of the rubberised coating that manifests in small 'rust-like' marks.  There is a little shedding of the internal rubberising, again a common feature of these suits but not an issue. The suit retains its cloth hanger, buttons and linen label and the lining has Air Ministry and A.I.D. stamps.  All zips are original 'N' brand, have Air Ministry puller tags and are in good working condition throughout.  Also fitted with a good matching 1930 pattern suit collar having clear Air Ministry marks. Overall this is a very good '+' used example of the scarce 1930 pattern 'Battle of Britain' suit. Stock code SDFGF30.
