Air Ministry fuel can c.1939

Metal fuel can approximately 25 x 15 x 32cm (including handle).  Manufactured by Reads of Liverpool and 7-39 dated to base.  Raised King's crown Air Ministry marks and solid brass 'BP' stopper/cap.  Solid/sound condition but has some dents and minor surface corrosion.  It has clearly been repainted and the 'No.1 EFTS' markings are spurious.  As used on wartime RAF stations.  Would look gret cleaned up and treated more sympathetically.  Stock code M24057.
