Manufactured in England by Tufkase. Ink stamp used by the Air Ministry meterological office for marking/dating documents. Approximately 9.5cm tall x 5.5cm x 3.5cm. White metal body with a painted wooden handle. The cartouche of the stamp reads 'METEOROLOGICAL OFFICE AIR MINISTRY' and ' M.O. 19'. A date can be added to the centre by rotating rubber 'wheels' with numbers, months and years on them. These cover the years from 1960 - 1971 but the actual stamp is of the same pattern to those used from the 1930s onwards. Stationary Office marks to one side. Very good used condition.
