RAF Band Bass Drum 

No maker marks.  Approximately 75cm diameter x 38cm depth.  Large Royal Air Force band bass drum with a deep blue hand painted wooden shell and rims with contrasting light blue painted lines.  Fabulous transfer decorated King's crown R.A.F crest and coat of arms.  The drum is rope tensioned with thick felt tabs and 'drag rope'.  Genuine original animal hide drumskins.  This drum is in lovely undamaged condition with only minor paint cracks, chipping, wear and soiling.  The skins are complete and it should be noted that the tension of these does change depending on weather conditions, varying from relatively loose to highly tensioned.  A very impressive and scarce display piece.  Stock code M22813.
