By The Newhall Pottery Co. Ltd. based at Hanley, Staffordshire. Scarce small white ceramic milk jug approximately 18cm tall x 16cm x 12cm. Lovely clear King's crown R.A.F. crest in blue to one side. Overall condition is reasonable. There are a few small chips around the base and hairline cracks visible on the base and inside the jug. Externally the jug presents well and the cracking isn't obvious. No damage to the handle, top edge or spout and the glaze remains good. The jug would have been used in the mess, almost certainly for milk. Newhall logo marks to base. Newhall remained in production during WW2 and became a chief source of supply to the armed forces. It ceased production altogether in 1956. Stock code C13597.
