Unusual hanging plaque believed to have been used in RAF Filter and Sector Operations Rooms during the Battle of Britain and beyond to display important information relating to an enemy raid. This relatively crude single-sided tin plaque measures approximately 26 x 30mm, is painted black, with the number '6' hand-painted in white. A small hole drilled at the centre of the top edge enabled the plaque to be hung on some form of tote board. Came in with other similar plaques and operations room pieces. Has been bent / is ridged across the centre. A fantastic opportunity to create a small operations room display. Stock code M26074.
