Reproduction R.A.F. aircrew frock white type rollneck sweater. Manufactured by Eastman Leather Clothing. Size 44". 100% pure English wool. Unbleached white (Ecru), this classic creamy white sweater was worn by many aircrew during WW2 and is seen in many period photographs underneath an Irvin flying jacket or Sidcot flying suit. Like an original it is made with diamond shaped cotton reinforcement pieces between the neck and shoulder. Woven label with A.M marks. Labelled as a 44" but physically measures approximately 43" chest, shoulder seam to cuff 17.5", armpit to waist 17.5", neck seam to waist 23.5". Remember that this does have some 'give' in the wool. Aside from a couple of very small marks this is in excellent condition and shows very little use at all. They retail for £129.99 new. Bag yourself a bargain for the winter season. Stock code U23958.
Like the original, our sweater is made from 100% pure English wool, in Ecru (unbleached white). It is knitted to exactly the correct spec, including details such as the two diamond shaped cotton reinforcements, inside, where the collar joins the shoulder.
This is the perfect companion to either of our RAF jacket styles, or just a good looking classic sweater that can be worn with or without any amount of different modern day overgarments.
