Stores reference 22c/62. One of the classic 'Battle of Britain' pattern goggles. The frame has minor distortion but is in good '+' condition with only very light rubbing on exposed surfaces. All of the frame screws are original and both vent 'horns' and hinge 'stops' are present. The velvet backing is quite clean and undamaged but a little rubbed. Good nosepiece leather. The light blue tinted lenses have relatively light even scratches/scuffing and are in good overall condition although there is slight shrinkage at the edges (see photos). The strap springs are all complete/undamaged on one side but the other appears to have one or possibly two damaged springs causing some 'twisting'. The leather strap section is excellent with clear A.M. marks and stamped with a 1936 date code. There is also an A.I.D mark and the owner's name faintly inked to the back of the strap. A good '+' pair of goggles. Stock code G22245.
