Fleming Ltd.  Stores Reference 22c/167.  The frame is finished in the less common satin brown paint and is in excellent original condition.  The nosepiece leather is very good and the chamois backing has light to average soiling and wear.  Although the original rubber face pads have deteriorated and hardened they retain reasonable shape and are much better than many pairs.  Fitted with very good original clear glass lenses (minor edge chips only and no longer truly laminated).  The strap components are excellent - the spring sections complete and undamaged,  both 'loops' equally good and the leather section is clearly marked with Air Ministry Crown and reference numbers.  Fitted with the original anti-glare shield with small enclosed spring bayonet mechanism, again in excellent condition. Complete with the original box of issue which has some damage to the lid.  The box contains contains a smaller spares box containing a leather/chamois forehead protection strip, spanner, bakelite antidim compound tube and a full set of helmet guide plates.  These plates could be attached to B or C-type helmets using copper rivets, a full set of 12 is also included.  An excellent set of goggles and accessories.  Stock code G24534.
