By British American Optical. Stores reference 22c/961. Standard WW2 issue MK.VIII anti-glare spectacles/sunglasses. Grey-green tinted lenses set within steel wire frames with side-arms featuring 'wrap-around' ear pieces. The frames are generally in very good condition bar light soiling. Please note that close up photographs makes this appear worse than it really is! Good hinges and the arms have little excess vertical or horizontal play. Very good lenses. Air Ministry and reference numbers are stamped into one sidearm. The original hard case is soiled with faded markings. A good '+'/very good used pair. These belonged to a navigator who flew on Lancasters with 207 Squadron between 1944 and 1947 and comes with a few service details and 2 photocopy photos. Stock code G20534.
