Unknown maker but possibly by 'Bates'. Small size measuring approximately 57cm (71/8). A standard WW2 pattern officer rank peaked cap. The cloth is in good condition, lightly soiled and faded, but appears to be moth free. The chinstrap shows wear and surface cracking but is complete and the mohair band is good. Minor moth nips to the edge of the badge which is otherwise very good. Green felt lining with remnants of a greasepaper cover remaining around the edges. This has hardened and is partially stuck to the rear of the inner leather band which remains in good order. A good example. Stock code U23454.
