By Gieves Ltd. of London. Small size measuring approximately 54cm (63/4). A pre-WW2 pattern officer rank peaked cap. The cloth is in excellent, fairly clean condition. There are just a couple of very small moth nips near the chinstrap ( see photographs). Very good narrow leather chinstrap, mohair band and badge. Excellent peak with typical green leather underside showing signs of handing and use. Deep blue-grey satin lining with manufacturer's label named to original owner F/Lt. Chiverton. Good inner leather band. A very good example of the increasingly scarce pre-war cap. Stock code U23453.
