High quality chromed frames with central 'barrel' screw adjuster. White foam rubber cushions and tinted triplex marked lenses. Simple grey elasticated strap with metal clasp. Although not Luxor marked these are certainly of Luxor quality and share very strong similarities such as the barrel adjuster and the strap metalwork. The frames are a little pitted/worn but the lenses and rubber cushions are both very good and the strap retains good elasticity. They come in a faux leather covered rigid case. A lovely set of goggles typical of the private purchase style favoured by many RAF pilots during the interwar and early WW2 period. These would appear near identical to those in Mick Prodger's 'Vintage Flying Helmets' book, p183 & 185. Stock code G18455.
