By The Triplex Safety Glass Company. Model 'FWT'. Pear-shaped white metal frames backed with fur trimmed 'sprung' silky knitted fabric. Simple elastic strap with adjuster slide. Gold embossed Triplex marks at strap attachment points. Excellent pale yellow tinted laminated glass lenses, each of which still have the original paper 'STG' label. The frames are in excellent condition and the knitted backing and fur trim fabric is very good. The strap is named to the owner but stretched and has lost elasticity. With the original hard case. This is in sound condition but the press stud has pulled though the flapped lid. A good pair of early private purchase goggles typical of those favoured by early RFC and interwar pilots.
