RAF Mk.1A flying helmet visor, boxed

Visor, Flying Mk.2 Screen (Light).  Size large.  Stores reference 22c/1649.  Acrylic anti-glare screen with a straight lower edge which allowed a clear view of the cockpit instruments.  This can be attached to the helmet via a centrally mounted rail and is suitable for the MK.1A, Mk.3A and MK.3B bonedomes.  This unissued new old stock example was produced in 'Light' tint (30% transmission).  It comes in the original box with the correct 4BA mushroom head fixing screws, instruction/maintenance sheet and would appear to be fitted with a velveteen cover too.  Incredibly hard to source when you want one.  Ideal for restoring a helmet or as a spare.  Stock code H24413.
