Commonwealth manufactured. Chamois backed leather strips with 2 male press stud fasteners attached. These can be sewn to the sides of a D-type mask to enable its attachment to a B-type flying helmet. Also used in the helmet when not wearing a mask to protect the wearer's face. Excellent leather/studs but the chamois backing is soiled as shown. Removed from a standard RAF B-type we had in stock.
