By Rough Wear Clothing Co. Marked as a size 42 and has a physical pit to pit (x2) measurement of about 44". This classic A-2 flying jacket is one from the company's W535ac 27752 contract of April 1942. Seal brown hide with matching cotton lining. The leather is in very good to excellent condition with no damage or repairs, seems to be strong, and remains supple. Complete with all the usual A-2 features including the collar snaps and hook, leather hanger and underarm vents. The jacket has been re-lined, re-labelled and re-zipped with a 'Talon' M-41 No.5 type zip. The cuffs and waistband have also been replaced. All this work was undertaken by Eastman Leather many years ago when they still did repair work on original jackets. The zip is in good working condition. There are some small holes in the 'knits' but nothing too serious. Stitch holes can be seen on the epaulettes where leather rank bars have been removed. A very good solid jacket. Stock code J25032.
