Reproduction A-2 by Diamond Clothing Company (Diamond Dave). Marked as a size 42 and has a physical external pit to pit (x2) measurement of about 41-2" maximum. This lovely jacket is based on the J.W. Dubow Manufacturing Company's W535A.C. 23379 contract from December 1941. Produced in good detail, it is manufactured in aniline chrome-tanned seal brown horsehide with matching cotton lining, correct pattern 100% worsted wool knitted waistband and cuffs, correct ball studs on the pockets and collar etc. It has the correct pocket flap shape and style of stitching on the epaulettes and pocket corners for this Dubow contract. The leather is in excellent used condition, nicely worn in with wear and marks commensurate with everyday use. Fitted with a 'Talon' branded nickel zip in good condition. It has an authentic-looking taffeta weave label with correct additional 'Property Air Force U.S. Army' label below and 'AAF' inpection stamps on the lining. The waistband and right cuff are very good but there are some stitched repairs to the left cuff (see photographs). The right side collar hook is absent. A really good quality used jacket with plenty of wear left in it. Stock code J25317.
